What a second Trump presidency means for Australia

I share some of my thoughts of what a second inauguration of Trump means for the US, the world and Australia and how we should respond. Trumps right wing populist movement heralds big changes for the neoliberal globalist economic order in favour of each country unapologetically putting its sovereign national interest first.

The good news for Australia is if we replace our current weak leadership with strong leadership and gets off its knees, with its vast resources and human capital Australia can build a strong negotiating decision with a more deliberate focus on its own economic, trade and security interests.

We don’t need right wing or left wing populism. Australians are tired of the noisy activism of the loud 10% of the population in the extreme left and the extreme right. We don’t believe in left or right we believe in Citzens taking responsibility for better and more accountable government that cleans up our institutions and serves the common good.

With Citizens Party members elected to the parliament we can take our successful approach of direct action and put a spine into the leadership of our country.
